I had been after a new nude lipstick for quite some time, ever seen I had ran out of my favourite Nars lipstick in Dolce Vita. Since i’m graduating in the next few days, I thought that I would spoil myself with a Burberry Lip Velvet lipstick in the shade Peony Rose and a new lipliner by MAC Pro Longwear Lip pencil in Morning Coffee.

Burberry has such sleek packing and gives you that satisfying click when you close it.

Burberry Lip Velvet in Peony Rose. It’s a really lovely rosy-nude shade, with a matte finish to it. The formula is not drying at all and it feels so nice on my lips. It claims to be long wearing but I don’t really think it is. I’ll eat a meal and it’ll be almost be gone by the end of it. I’m not sure if this just applies to the lighter shades in their matte range. One minor issue is the strong scent of the lipstick itself, it has that old, floral lipstick scent. I don’t mind it too much, but if you’re sensitive to strong scents then maybe give it a sniff if you’re considering on purchasing it. While the staying power of the lipstick isn’t that great, I still really like the formula and shade of it.

I like how it’s so versatile and actually like wearing it alone too and it’s long lasting so you don’t need to worry too about touching it up later in the day! Even at the end of the day, after some wear, it leaves still leaves a nice wash of colour on the lips

I love them paired together as the lip pencil gives the lipstick long wearing power and . Lately i’ve been really into nude/rose lipsticks so don’t be too surprised if you see more pictures and reviews in the future.
